MUSCAT : In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oman said it is closely following recent developments in the Red Sea and stressed the importance of preventing further escalation that could worsen the situation and endanger maritime movement.
The ministry said Oman is coordinating with Saudi Arabia, Yemeni parties and the UN Special Envoy for Yemen to help resume the political track and advance the roadmap towards lasting security and stability in the region.
Oman reiterated the importance of dialogue and diplomatic efforts in addressing regional challenges, while highlighting the need to protect freedom of navigation and prevent developments that could increase tensions.
