MUSCAT : Indian School Darsait has appointed Dr. S. Srinivasan as its new Principal, marking the beginning of a new chapter for one of Oman’s leading CBSE schools. A highly accomplished educationist with more than 30 years of experience in educational leadership, administration and teaching, Dr. Srinivasan is expected to lead the school’s continued focus on academic excellence, innovation and holistic student development.
Before taking charge at Indian School Darsait, Dr. Srinivasan served as the Principal of Indian School Sur from October 2019. Earlier in his career, he held several senior leadership positions at Indian School Salalah, including Officiating Principal, Vice Principal, Assistant Vice Principal, Head of the Mathematics Department and Post Graduate Teacher, contributing significantly to the institution’s academic and organisational growth.
Throughout his career, Dr. Srinivasan has played a key role in curriculum planning, strategic management, policy formulation, teacher development, financial administration and institutional expansion. He has also led initiatives to introduce innovative teaching practices, strengthen school infrastructure, promote transparent governance and enhance overall academic standards.

An award-winning educator, Dr. Srinivasan has received several honours, including the Navin Asher-Kazi Award for Best Teacher in Oman, the Meritorious Achievement Award from the Board of Directors of Indian Schools in Oman, the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Indian Social Club (Tamil Wing), Salalah, and the Long Service Award in recognition of his contributions to education.
Dr. Srinivasan holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics, an M.Phil., an M.Sc. in Mathematics, a Bachelor of Education, and is also a Certified Academic Auditor. During his teaching career, he has consistently delivered outstanding academic results and mentored students to excel in CBSE Board examinations.
