MUSCAT : The forum will focus on expanding collaboration and investment opportunities in key sectors, including tourism, technology, logistics, agriculture and fisheries, while serving as a platform to promote dialogue and identify practical areas for cooperation between Oman and the Philippines.

Oman’s delegation will be headed by His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and includes His Excellency Dr Mahad bin Said Baawain, Minister of Labour; Muneer bin Ali Al Muneeri, Deputy President for Operations at Oman Investment Authority; and His Excellency Engineer Nasser bin Said Al Manwari, Ambassador of Oman to the Philippines, along with representatives from public and private sector institutions.

The forum is built around three main pillars: strengthening economic ties through trade development, investment attraction and joint projects; deepening diplomatic relations through dialogue and coordination on regional and international issues; and promoting cooperation in emerging sectors such as technology, energy, agriculture, fisheries, logistics and transportation.

As part of efforts to strengthen the forum’s role within Oman’s economic diplomacy agenda, an official logo for the event has been launched in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Unified Promotional Identity Office of Oman.

The logo draws inspiration from the rising arrow, a symbol of progress, growth and future aspirations, while incorporating elements of Omani identity, the Invest in Oman initiative and the long-standing ties between Oman and the Philippines.

Engineer Nasser bin Said Al Manwari said Oman views the forum as an important opportunity to further strengthen its growing relations with the Philippines, adding that the launch of the logo reflects the country’s commitment to using economic diplomacy to build international partnerships and achieve practical outcomes.

Philippine Ambassador to Oman Her Excellency Noralyn Jubaira Baja said the forum represents a significant milestone in Oman-Philippines relations, transforming decades of people-to-people ties, including the contribution of Filipino workers in Oman, into new opportunities for investment and partnerships.

The forum is expected to produce outcomes that expand economic and investment cooperation and support the development of a strategic partnership between Oman and the Philippines.
