MUSCAT: Oman’s Foreign Minister His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi and Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi discussed the latest regional developments during a telephone call on Sunday, underscoring the need to intensify political efforts to prevent further escalation.
According to the Oman News Agency (ONA), the two ministers stressed the importance of prioritising dialogue and peaceful solutions to resolve ongoing tensions, warning against any developments that could push the region towards further confrontation.
They also reaffirmed the need to uphold international law, safeguard maritime security and freedom of navigation, and protect the interests, sovereignty and stability of all nations.
