Oman Customs issues guide on duty-free baggage items for travellers

Oman Customs has highlighted the main personal baggage and items that travellers can bring into the Sultanate without paying customs duties.

MUSCAT – The Directorate General of Customs at the Royal Oman Police said travellers should familiarise themselves with the list of exempted items to help ensure a smoother and faster customs clearance process.

The duty-exempt items include personal jewellery, clothing and personal belongings, mobile phones, laptops and portable printers, as well as medicines intended for personal use.

The exemption list also covers wheelchairs and baby strollers, portable musical instruments, personal sports equipment, television sets and receiver units, video cameras for personal use, and projectors, films and their accessories.
