MUSCAT : Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) has issued a public notice directing the owners of certain stranded and moored vessels to recover and remove their ships within 30 days, warning that failure to comply will trigger legal action under the country’s maritime laws.
In an announcement published by the ministry, vessel owners were instructed to remove their vessels from their current locations within a maximum period of 30 days from the date of publication.
The ministry said that non-compliance within the specified timeframe would result in the initiation of necessary legal procedures in accordance with the provisions of the Omani Maritime Law.

Among the vessels identified in the notice is the SEA LIGHT, which is stranded in the Al Joud area near the coast of the Wilayat of Al Suwaiq.
The ministry also referred to vessels anchored at Khor Al-Batah in the Wilayat of Sur, including those moored beside the wooden boatyard in the area, and called on their owners to take the required measures for recovery and removal.
