MUSCAT : The initiative is aimed at supporting Omani online businesses, increasing their visibility and encouraging consumers to shop from verified digital stores.

The ministry said online retailers can obtain an e-store verification certificate by registering through the Ma’arouf Oman platform. Merchants must create a merchant account using their Civil ID, add their business details, link the store to a commercial registration, and provide their online store’s social media accounts before submitting the application for review.

Once the information is verified and approved, applicants will receive an official verification certificate for their online store.
