MUSCAT – The Ministry said developers must obtain the necessary approvals and register their projects before promoting them through any media channel, digital platform or real estate exhibition. Marketing or displaying projects that are not licensed or registered with the Ministry constitutes a violation of the laws and regulations governing Oman’s real estate sector.
The move forms part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to regulate the real estate market, enhance its credibility and protect the rights of investors and homebuyers.
The Ministry also urged prospective buyers and investors to verify that both the developer and the project are officially registered and licensed before making any purchase or investment decision.
Developers seeking to complete the required procedures have been advised to contact the Real Estate Development Services Centre and use the Ministry’s Development Platform to begin the registration and licensing process.
For further information, the Ministry has asked developers and members of the public to contact its call centre on 80000099.
