MUSCAT – Preliminary statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information indicated that the average price of oil rose by 1.3 percent to reach USD 76.2 per barrel by the end of May 2026, compared to USD 75.2 per barrel during the corresponding period of 2025.
On the production front, the average daily oil production recorded a growth of 9.7 percent, reaching 1,083,000 barrels per day by the end of May 2026, compared to 987,600 barrels per day during the corresponding period of 2025.
The total oil production of the Sultanate of Oman also rose by 9.7 percent, registering 163,641,700 barrels by the end of May 2026, compared to 149,133,700 barrels during the corresponding period of the previous year.
