MUSCAT – According to preliminary data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), the growth was driven by gains in both oil and non-oil activities, with oil-related sectors increasing by 4.6 percent to RO 3.04 billion, up from RO 2.90 billion a year earlier.
Within the oil sector, crude oil activity rose by 4.3 percent to RO 2.55 billion, while natural gas activity increased by 6 percent to RO 481.2 million.
Non-oil activities also recorded growth of 2.4 percent, reaching RO 7.04 billion compared with RO 6.88 billion in the first quarter of 2025.
Agriculture and fisheries activities rose by 6.1 percent to RO 337.8 million, while service activities grew by 3.7 percent to RO 4.72 billion.
Industrial activities, however, declined by 1.2 percent to RO 1.98 billion compared with the same period last year.
