MUSCAT : The new route will operate three weekly flights, providing passengers with more travel options between the Sultanate of Oman and one of Bangladesh’s key regions.
SalamAir said the service will also allow travellers from Salalah to connect through Muscat, improving accessibility for passengers across Oman.
To mark the launch, one-way fares will start from RO 66.99, offering more affordable travel options between the two destinations.
The airline said Sylhet is among Bangladesh’s fastest-growing aviation markets, serving a population of more than 10 million people. With the new service, SalamAir will become the first international airline to operate scheduled flights to all three international airports in Bangladesh.
Steven Allen, Chief Commercial Officer of SalamAir, said the launch reflects the airline’s commitment to expanding connectivity between Oman and Bangladesh, adding that Sylhet offers opportunities across family travel, tourism, business and religious travel.
Bangladesh remains one of South Asia’s growing aviation markets, with demand supported by increasing international travel, a large expatriate community, and expanding tourism and business activity.
SalamAir said passengers travelling to Sylhet can explore its tea gardens, green landscapes and waterfalls, with tickets available through the airline’s website, mobile application, sales offices and authorised travel agents.
