MUSCAT : The ministry stressed the importance of following the laws governing the tourism sector and the provisions of the Executive Regulations of the Tourism Law related to the organisation and operation of adventure tourism activities.
According to the ministry, no adventure tourism activity of any kind may be organised or operated without obtaining the required official licences and approvals. The move aims to strengthen safety standards, improve service quality and ensure visitors enjoy secure and sustainable tourism experiences.
The ministry added that conducting adventure tourism activities without the necessary permits is considered a violation of regulations and will result in accountability under the applicable laws.
