PARIS – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik departed Paris on Monday, concluding a state visit to the French Republic that saw the signing of a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding aimed at strengthening economic and strategic ties between Oman and France.
His Majesty the Sultan left France for the United Kingdom on a private visit after a programme that included official talks with President Macron, participation in the Oman-France Business Forum and meetings with senior French officials and business leaders.
During their discussions, His Majesty Sultan Haitham and Macron reviewed bilateral relations and explored ways to expand cooperation across key sectors including energy, investment, transport, logistics, technology and culture. The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and international developments, with particular emphasis on efforts to promote stability and dialogue in the Middle East.

The visit culminated in the signing of several agreements and memoranda of understanding between government entities and private-sector companies from both countries, reflecting growing economic cooperation and investment partnerships.
Speaking at the Oman-France Business Forum in Paris, His Majesty Sultan Haitham described the agreements signed during the visit as among the most significant achievements in bilateral relations in recent years, while highlighting additional projects and initiatives currently under discussion.
His Majesty the Sultan also reaffirmed Oman’s commitment to attracting international investment and welcomed greater participation by French companies in the sultanate’s economic development programmes under Oman Vision 2040.
