MUSCAT- In a step that underscores its leading role in supporting the Sports and Youth sector and contributing to the development of Oman’s football ecosystem in line with national aspirations and strategic plans, Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate of Oman, has announced the enhancement of its partnership with the Oman Football Association (OFA), becoming the Main Sponsor of the Oman Football National Team.

This partnership aligns with Bank Muscat’s mission of supporting key sectors that contribute to the nation’s development and reaffirms its longstanding commitment to social responsibility and investment in human and sporting capital. In accordance with this strategic partnership, the national team will be provided with the financial and logistical support required to strengthen their preparations for upcoming international competitions, particularly the AFC Asian Cup, ensuring the highest standards of technical readiness and professionalism.

At a ceremony organized by Bank Muscat at its Head Office in Airport Heights, attended by representatives from the Bank and the Oman Football Association, members of the national team’s technical and administrative employees, as well as media representatives and journalists, Sheikha Yousuf Al Farsi, Deputy CEO of Operations at Bank Muscat expressed her delight at strengthening the partnership with the OFA, stating: “This partnership represents a long-term investment in empowering Omani football talent and serves as a model for effective collaboration between financial institutions and the sports sector. It reflects our shared ambition to build a brighter future for Omani sport and enhance its presence on the international stage. The announcement of this partnership is a continuation of Bank Muscat’s longstanding commitment to supporting the sports and youth sector in the Sultanate of Oman. It also forms part of the Bank’s broader social responsibility agenda as a leading financial institution. We firmly believe in the vital role that sport plays in fostering national pride and belonging, while helping to develop a generation of creative and capable young people who contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress.”

From his side, Mohammed Suleiman Al Yahmadi, General Secretary at Oman Football Association, highlighted the significance of the partnership, saying: “We are delighted that Bank Muscat has further strengthened its partnership with the Oman Football Association by becoming the Main Sponsor of our National Team. The Bank has consistently demonstrated its commitment to supporting Oman’s development journey and national priorities. There is no doubt that this partnership will contribute significantly to the efficient implementation of the Association’s plans and programmes for the national team, ultimately enhancing its performance and competitiveness in forthcoming continental and international tournaments. Such partnerships will continue to open new avenues of collaboration that support the growth of Omani football and help realize the ambitions of the nation and its fans to see Oman competing successfully for regional and international honours.

Bank Muscat has built a distinguished track record in supporting sports and youth development for over four decades by launching various initiatives and programmes. Among its flagship initiatives is the “Green Sports” programme, which supports local sports teams by developing infrastructure such as natural and artificial turf pitches, lighting systems, and water desalination facilities. Through this programme, the Bank has helped establish and upgrade numerous sports facilities across the Sultanate, benefiting over 77,000 participants from 223 community teams.
