MUSCAT – Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to Saudi Arabia following a helicopter crash involving Saudi Aramco that killed 14 people in the Kingdom’s Eastern Province.

In a statement, the ministry conveyed its sympathies to the government and people of Saudi Arabia, as well as to the families of those who lost their lives in the accident.

The ministry prayed that the deceased be granted God’s mercy and that their families be given patience and strength during the difficult time.

The message came after a helicopter operated by Saudi Aramco crashed in Ras Tanura, a major oil and shipping hub on Saudi Arabia’s Gulf coast. Saudi state media reported that all 14 people on board were killed.

Saudi authorities said the cause of the crash was not immediately known and remains under investigation.
