MUSCAT – Oman’s National Mineral Water Company (NMWC) said a former general manager has been convicted by the Muscat Court of Appeal and sentenced to one year in prison and fined RO10,000 in connection with a criminal case filed by the company.
In a disclosure to shareholders dated June 28, NMWC said the judgment was issued on June 25, 2026, in Criminal Case No. 2025/7525/343, which had been brought against the company’s former general manager. The court convicted the defendant and imposed a one-year prison sentence in addition to a fine of RO10,000.
The company said it has also initiated civil legal proceedings related to the matter. A hearing date for Civil Case No. 118/101/26 will be scheduled after the company receives the grounds of the criminal court’s judgment.

NMWC noted that the ruling has not yet become final and remains subject to appeal before Oman’s Supreme Court within 40 days from the date of issuance.
