MUSCAT – The commemorative collection comprises five coins and honours the Central Bank’s journey since its founding in 1975, highlighting its role in strengthening the national economy, promoting financial stability and advancing Oman’s banking sector.
The set includes one pure silver coin with a face value of one Omani rial, measuring 60mm in diameter and weighing 50 grams. The remaining four coins are made of silver-plated copper, each with a face value of 100 baisa, a diameter of 38.61mm and a weight of 28.28 grams.
The coins have been produced to high technical standards and are legal tender at their face value.
The commemorative coins will be available for purchase from July 19, 2026, at Central Bank branches in Ruwi, Sohar and Salalah, as well as through Oman Post’s sales outlet at Opera Galleria in Muscat.
