MUSCAT : The operation was carried out by the Directorate General of Consumer Protection in North Al Batinah following information that expatriate workers were using a residential apartment to illegally store, prepare and distribute prohibited products.

After completing legal procedures and coordinating with relevant authorities, inspectors raided the site and confiscated large quantities of prohibited items, along with materials and equipment reportedly used for preparation and packaging.

The Consumer Protection Authority said the action forms part of continued inspection campaigns across Oman to combat practices that violate consumer protection laws and regulations.

The authority urged the public to report suspicious products or unlawful activities, stressing the importance of community cooperation in maintaining a safe consumer environment and supporting Oman Vision 2040 goals.
