MUSCAT – The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued Circular No. 2/2026 requiring certain travellers arriving in Oman to complete an electronic self-health declaration form amid the ongoing Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda.
The circular, issued on June 22, 2026, applies to nationals of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda, as well as passengers arriving from either country or those who have visited either nation within 21 days prior to their arrival in Oman.
According to the CAA, affected travellers must complete the Electronic Health Self-Declaration Form through a designated QR code before entering the Sultanate.

The authority said the measure was introduced following epidemiological updates from the World Health Organization (WHO), which reported the continued spread of Ebola disease caused by the Bundibugyo virus strain. The outbreak has led to an increase in confirmed, suspected and probable cases in both countries.
The decision was taken in coordination with Oman’s Ministry of Health and the Medical Response Sector as part of ongoing efforts to safeguard public health and strengthen preventive measures at the country’s entry points.
The CAA urged airlines operating in Oman and all concerned passengers to comply with the new requirements to facilitate health monitoring procedures and support disease prevention efforts.
