MUSCAT – Two Omani citizens were injured in a shooting incident in Salalah following a dispute linked to previous disagreements, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) said on Thursday.
In a statement, the ROP said it had monitored reports circulating on social media regarding a shooting incident that took place on the evening of Wednesday, June 17, in the Wilayat of Salalah.
Police clarified that the incident resulted from an altercation between two Omani citizens stemming from prior disputes. The confrontation led to both individuals sustaining injuries.

The ROP said both men are in stable condition and are receiving the necessary medical treatment.
Authorities added that legal procedures have been initiated and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
