MUSCAT – In an awareness message, the ROP advised vehicle owners to avoid leaving flammable materials inside their vehicles, warning that high temperatures can increase the risk of fire and other safety hazards.
The police also stressed the importance of carrying out regular vehicle inspections to ensure there are no mechanical malfunctions or fluid leaks that could pose a danger during the summer months.
Motorists were further encouraged to keep a fire extinguisher inside their vehicles as a precautionary measure to enhance safety and respond quickly to emergencies.
