MUSCAT – The committee held a meeting today chaired by His Excellency Lt. Gen. Hassan Mohsin Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs and Chairman of the Committee, with the participation of the committee members at the Directorate General of Traffic building.
During the meeting, members reviewed the fourth edition of the Traffic Safety Competition, along with traffic statistics and indicators, awareness programmes, and progress in achieving targets and initiatives aimed at reducing traffic accidents.
The committee stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between relevant authorities and coordinating efforts in awareness and monitoring to enhance traffic safety standards.
It also commended institutional and community efforts, as well as the commitment of citizens and residents to traffic rules and regulations, noting their role in supporting safer roads across the Sultanate of Oman.
