MUSCAT – Statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information statistics showed that the traded value of sales contracts amounted to RO 439.6 million through 22,272 sales contracts, compared to RO 408.5 million during the same period in 2025. The number of sales contracts increased by 5.6 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
The traded value of mortgage contracts also increased by 19 percent to reach RO 501.4 million through 9,095 contracts by the end of April 2026, compared to RO 421.5 million through 7,164 contracts during the same period in 2025.
The traded value of swap contracts reached RO 4.8 million through 264 contracts by the end of April 2026, compared to RO 3.9 million through 436 contracts during the same period of the previous year, recording a growth of 21.5 percent.

Regarding real estate ownership, the number of issued ownership deeds reached 65,530 by the end of April 2026, compared to 73,432 during the same period in 2025, marking a decline of 10.8 percent.
The number of properties issued to citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries stood at 317 by the end of April 2026, compared to 529 during the same period in 2025, representing a decrease of 40.1 percent.
