MUSCAT : Oman will observe an official public holiday on Thursday, June 18, 2026, to mark the Islamic New Year (Hijri New Year), according to Ministry of Labour.
The holiday, which marks the beginning of the year 1448 AH in the Islamic lunar calendar, will be observed by employees in both the public and private sectors across the country.
As June 18 falls on a Thursday, many residents can look forward to a three-day weekend, with Friday and Saturday forming the regular weekend in Oman.
