MUSCAT – The authority said its Operations Centre received a report of a medical emergency involving the teenager, who experienced difficulty breathing due to a blocked airway. Specialists communicated with the girl’s family and provided step-by-step first aid instructions to help manage the situation while emergency support was being coordinated.

The CDAA said the operators also worked to reassure and calm the family, encouraging them to follow the guidance provided. The prompt response and correct application of first aid procedures helped restore the girl’s normal breathing.

The authority also urged members of the public to familiarise themselves with safety procedures and learn basic first aid principles, stressing their critical role in handling emergencies and preserving lives until specialised teams arrive.
