MUSCAT – Judicial officers from the CPA’s department in Al Dakhiliyah uncovered multiple violations during inspections of shops and markets across the governorate. The seized items included 52 expired products, 575 insecticide products classified as unlicensed agricultural products, and 105 products containing images deemed contrary to public morals.

According to the Authority, the insecticide products were identified as unlicensed agricultural items based on a report issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources. Meanwhile, the products featuring inappropriate images were found to be in violation of Decision No. 697/2015 issued under the Consumer Protection Law.

All violative products were confiscated, and administrative penalties exceeding RO 600 were imposed on the establishments concerned.

The violations were detected as part of ongoing inspection, investigation, and market surveillance campaigns conducted by CPA judicial officers to monitor commercial activities and ensure compliance with consumer protection regulations.
