MUSCAT : The Directorate General of CPA in North Al Batinah carried out the inspection at a site used for the trading, preparation and packaging of smokeless tobacco products. Officials confirmed that the raid uncovered six different categories of prohibited goods, including ready-to-sell tobacco products as well as raw materials and packaging supplies.
The seized items included smokeless chewing tobacco products and related preparation materials, along with equipment used for packaging and distribution. Authorities said the total quantity of confiscated goods exceeded 2,200 packs and containers.
Following the operation, legal procedures were initiated against those involved, in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws and regulations in Oman.
