MUSCAT : As part of its efforts to modernise infrastructure and adopt innovative solutions, Muscat Municipality’s Directorate General of Projects and Maintenance has launched a trial of a new technology designed to address road defects, including potholes and surface cracks.
According to the municipality, the technology is expected to significantly enhance the efficiency of road maintenance operations by accelerating repair works and reducing the time required to respond to public reports and maintenance requests.
The municipality said the new system offers several advantages, including faster execution of repair works, reduced road closures and traffic disruptions, lower operational costs, and improved environmental sustainability through reduced waste generation.
