MUSCAT – Electricity services were restored to a family in Oman after a social media post highlighting their situation gained public attention, prompting a swift response from Nama Services.
The issue came to light when a social media user appealed to authorities and utility providers, claiming that electricity had been disconnected for a financially struggling family that includes a child with special needs. The post questioned how the family would cope during the summer months without access to electricity and called for humanitarian consideration.
Responding publicly on the X platform, Nama Services said it had reviewed the case and communicated directly with the customer. The company confirmed that electricity service had been reinstated to the property after examining the circumstances surrounding the account.
