MUSCAT – Omani authorities have safely rescued all 24 Indian crew members aboard the vessel MT Marivex following an incident off the coast of Oman, the Indian Embassy in Muscat said on Monday.

In a statement posted on X, the embassy thanked Omani authorities for their rapid response and efforts in ensuring the safety of the seafarers.

“We are thankful to the Omani authorities for their swift response and rescue of all the 24 crew members of Indian nationality onboard MT Marivex, and ensuring their safety,” the embassy said.

The rescue marks a positive outcome to an incident that had initially sparked concern after reports emerged that the vessel had encountered difficulties in waters near Oman. Earlier, the embassy said it was closely monitoring the situation and was in contact with Omani authorities regarding the safety and welfare of the crew.
