MUSCAT – The ministry said the reminder applies to all individuals engaged in media-related activities on digital platforms, including operators of news accounts, electronic channels, and other online media practitioners. It stressed that all such activities must be licensed in accordance with the provisions of the Media Law and its Executive Regulations.
The Ministry further emphasized that carrying out any licensable media activity without obtaining the legally required license constitutes a violation of the law, and the prescribed legal measures will be taken against violators.
