MUSCAT – Authorities confiscated the firewood obtained from the illegal activity and initiated necessary legal proceedings against the individual, as it violates wildlife conservation regulations and the provisions of Oman’s Environmental Protection Law.
The Environment Authority said the violation poses a threat to the reserve’s natural ecosystem and efforts to preserve the country’s biodiversity and environmental resources.
The Authority urged members of the public to comply with environmental laws and regulations, protect natural resources and wildlife, and refrain from practices that could damage the environment.

It also called on citizens and residents to report any environmental violations or activities that may negatively affect the country’s natural heritage.
