MUSCAT : Oman’s Nama Electricity Distribution has apologised to customers affected by intermittent power outages in several areas, acknowledging the inconvenience caused and outlining measures taken to address the disruptions and improve service reliability.

In a statement issued to subscribers, the company said technical teams had successfully resolved a number of outage incidents and restored electricity services as quickly as possible. It added that the nature of the outages required direct communication with affected customers to provide updates on developments and corrective actions.

Nama urged customers to ensure their contact details, particularly registered phone numbers, are updated in its systems to facilitate timely communication during service interruptions.

The company said its field teams remain on standby to respond immediately to any faults. It noted that technical reviews are being conducted across the network to enhance service stability and prevent the recurrence of similar incidents.

As part of its response measures, Nama said it has strengthened customer service operations by increasing staffing levels at communication channels and customer support centres to improve the handling of reports and enquiries.

Customers experiencing power outages have been advised to contact the company through its emergency number 1011, available around the clock, as well as through its website and Nama Services mobile application.
