MUSCAT : Indian School Al Maabela (ISAM) has appointed veteran educator Bala Reddy Ambati as its new Principal, marking a significant addition to the leadership of one of Oman’s leading Indian schools.
The school announced the appointment through its official channels, welcoming Ambati to the ISAM family.
Ambati brings more than 20 years of experience in educational leadership, having held senior positions in schools across India, the United Arab Emirates and the United States. He has built a reputation for driving academic excellence, institutional growth and operational efficiency in large educational institutions.

Prior to joining Indian School Al Maabela, Ambati served as Principal of Habitat Schools in Ajman, UAE, where he led a school community of more than 6,000 students and around 400 teaching staff. During his tenure, he also served as the CBSE-appointed City Coordinator for Ajman and Umm Al Quwain, overseeing affiliated schools and supporting compliance with regulatory standards.
His career includes leadership roles as Principal and Director of The High Range School in Kerala, India, and Principal of Gulf Indian High School in Dubai. He also gained international teaching experience in the United States, serving as a science teacher at Clovis High School in New Mexico.
According to his professional profile, Ambati has extensive experience in curriculum development, educational policy implementation, school inspections and stakeholder engagement. He has also participated in CBSE inspection committees and conducted Ministry of Education and KHDA inspections across the UAE.
