MUSCAT : The imports included more than 16,000 cattle and over 297,000 sheep and goats, according to ministry figures.
The ministry added that 98 import permits were approved between April 1 and May 23, alongside a series of measures aimed at facilitating import procedures and accelerating approvals for livestock shipments.
It further pointed out that all necessary veterinary and health measures were implemented to ensure the safety and quality of imported livestock entering Oman.
