MUSCAT – In an advisory issued online, the ROP cautioned motorists against remaining inside parked cars with engines running, stressing that carbon monoxide is colourless and odourless, making it difficult to detect.
“Staying inside the car with the engine running may expose you to suffocation. Protect yourself and your family,” the authority said.
The warning comes amid heightened concern over carbon monoxide exposure risks, particularly after a recent incident involving fatalities inside a vehicle.
