MUSCAT : In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Authority said specialized teams were immediately deployed to monitor and assess the situation in coordination with relevant authorities. Necessary measures are being carried out in line with approved environmental regulations and procedures.
The Authority stressed that field monitoring operations are still ongoing, alongside intensified joint coordination efforts with concerned entities to ensure the protection of the marine environment.
It also urged fishermen and all sea users to promptly report any observations or suspected environmental pollution cases through the Environmental Emergency Center hotline (93930088) or via the “Tajawob” platform.
