MUSCAT – The grace period will run from Monday, June 1, 2026, until December 1, 2026, during which affected entities are required to apply for a radiation practice licence covering possession and use through the Authority’s electronic licensing portal.
The Authority urged all unlicensed operators to take advantage of the period to complete compliance procedures, stressing that legal action will be taken once the deadline expires.
It warned that penalties will be enforced in accordance with Regulation of Radiation Protection and the Security and Safety of Radiation Sources and Nuclear Materials (No. 79/2023) after the grace period ends.
