Oil prices rise amid supply concerns

Oil prices rose at the start of trading in Asian markets today amid continued concerns over global supplies, as negotiations aimed at ending the trade dispute between the United States and Iran appeared to have stalled.

TOKYO – Brent crude futures rose by 30 cents, or 0.29 percent, to reach $104.51 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude gained 31 cents, or 0.32 percent, to $98.38 per barrel.
Both crude oil benchmarks rose by about 2.8 percent on Monday.
