What inspired the launch of Jebel View International School, and why was Muscat
chosen as its home?

Jebel View International School was born out of a deep respect for Oman’s commitment
to high-quality education. Muscat, with its rich heritage and welcoming community,
provides the ideal setting for a school that integrates British academic standards with
Omani values. Our launch reflects a long-term commitment to supporting education in
the Sultanate.

The name “Jebel View International School” is distinctive. How does it connect to the
school’s identity and its place within Oman?

The name Jebel View International School was chosen very intentionally. It reflects both our deep
respect for Oman’s landscape and the character we want to instill in our students. Jebels are a
defining feature of the country – symbols of strength, stability, and an enduring presence. Those
qualities mirror the kind of educational foundations we are committed to providing.

At the same time, mountains invite us to look upward. Their peaks can be challenging to reach,
and that idea is central to our identity. At JVI, we set high aspirations for every learner, and with
the right guidance and support, we believe every student can reach their own summit.

So, for us, the ‘Jebel’ represents both the grounded, solid beginnings we give our students and
the ambition we encourage them to pursue. It captures exactly who we are as a school in Oman:
rooted in the local landscape, inspired by global perspectives, and dedicated to helping every
child realise their fullest potential.

How does the school bring together British educational excellence and Omani values?

We are not simply introducing a British curriculum into Oman; we are building a school that
honours Omani heritage while while nurturing confident, capable, and principled students.

Academic rigour is paired with character development and respect for culture, ensuring learners
are prepared for both personal growth and future opportunities.

What makes Jebel View International School different from other international schools in
Oman?

Our distinction lies in authentic integration. Jebel View combines British academic standards with
Omani values, creating an environment that balances knowledge, character, and wellbeing. We
follow a measured, foundation-first approach to growth, providing continuity and stability for the
families who join us.

Can you outline the curriculum and academic pathways offered at Jebel View?

We follow the British curriculum, with clear pathways toward Cambridge IGCSEs and A Levels, while meeting Omani requirements where applicable. The curriculum is designed to provide a broad academic foundation and support students’ personal development, fostering curiosity, confidence, and lifelong learning skills. Each stage of the curriculum is designed to support progression, helping students build confidence as they move towards higher aspirations and future pathways.

Why is the school opening initially with Primary grades, and how will it expand in the coming
years?

Strong foundations are essential for long-term success. Starting with Early Years and Primary
allows us to focus on core skills, values, and confidence. Expansion will be phased and deliberate,
ensuring every stage meets our quality standards and supports students’ academic and personal
growth. This phased approach allows students to grow step by step, building confidence
and capability at each stage of their educational journey.

What role does the campus at The Knowledge Oasis Muscat play in supporting future-focused
learning?

The school’s campus is thoughtfully designed to provide a safe and supportive environment
where students can focus on learning, wellbeing, and personal growth. The spaces encourage
curiosity, exploration, and discovery, creating an environment where students can engage with
learning in a meaningful and inspiring way.

How does being part of Artemis Education strengthen the school’s vision and standards?

Artemis Education provides guidance, governance, and a commitment to high educational
standards that reinforce our vision. Their long-term support ensures the school is built on stability
and shared values, combining strong educational practices with respect for local culture. This
ensures that the school is built on strong, enduring foundations with a clear long-term
vision for growth and excellence.

What message would you like to share with families considering joining Jebel View as founding
members?

To our founding families, we extend a warm invitation to help shape the culture and spirit of Jebel
View International School. This is about building a community rooted in trust and partnership,
where students can thrive academically and personally and grow into confident
individuals ready to make a positive impact on the world around them.
