MUSCAT – The Met office said an active wind alert is in effect from 11 am on April 27, 2026, affecting Al Khabourah, Shinas, Saham, and Suwaiq. The warning is classified as moderate in severity.
In a separate advisory, the office warned of dust storm conditions due to dust-laden winds starting at the same time, affecting multiple areas including Adam, Al Buraimi, Al Jazer, Dhank, Sinaw, Shaleem and the Hallaniyat Islands, Dhofar, Yanqul, Mahout, and Mahdah, among others. This alert has also been classified as moderate.
