MUSCAT – Royal Decree No. 48/2026 stipulates the appointment of Ambassador Abdul Ghaffar bin Abdul Karim bin Issa Al Balushi as the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Federative Republic of Brazil, in addition to his accreditation as non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Republic of Paraguay, the Republic of Ecuador, and the Republic of Chile.
The decree states that the appointment is made under the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law issued by Royal Decree No. 22/2025, and in accordance with public interest requirements. It also provides that the decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and comes into effect from the date of issuance.
