MUSCAT — His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received a phone call from British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Sunday, during which they reviewed recent regional developments and efforts to maintain security and stability.
According to Oman TV, the two leaders discussed the evolving situation in the region, particularly in the aftermath of negotiations held in Islamabad that concluded without reaching an agreement.
They underscored the importance of intensifying international efforts to find diplomatic solutions and prevent further escalation, while safeguarding the interests of countries in the region.

Both sides also exchanged views on ways to contain tensions and address the root causes of the crisis, stressing the need for continued coordination at the international level and support for peaceful, diplomatic pathways grounded in international law.
