MUSCAT : In support of Gulf integration and the exchange of expertise in the fields of integrity and transparency the audit authority participated in the 40th meeting of the Committee of Experts on Combating Corruption in the GCC countries, which was held via videoconference.
The session focused on the GCC joint strategy for combating corruption and the Committee’s guiding framework, aiming to enhance regional coordination in anti-corruption efforts. Participants also reviewed the Memorandum of Understanding between the GCC Secretariat General and the International Anti-Corruption Academy, alongside recommendations from the 2025 annual event.
Additionally, the meeting highlighted ongoing research and studies competitions in the fields of promoting integrity and combating corruption, emphasizing knowledge sharing and capacity building across member states.
