MUSCAT : Asthma and allergy patients are advised to stay indoors, keep windows closed, adhere to prescribed inhalers, and wear medical masks if venturing outside. Saline nasal sprays are recommended to clear nasal passages after dust exposure.
Drivers are also cautioned to exercise extreme care on the roads, reduce speed, avoid unnecessary travel, and follow official traffic updates due to the low visibility. The hospital emphasised that its emergency department is fully operational to respond to urgent cases.
“Your safety begins with awareness,” the hospital stated, encouraging all residents to follow preventive measures during the dust storm to safeguard their health and wellbeing.
