‘No room for complacency’: Oman’s Foreign Minister calls for urgent US-Iran negotiations

His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi has called for serious negotiations between the United States and Iran, warning that while the world has "stepped back from disaster," lasting regional security remains a critical priority.

MUSCAT — His Excellency Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, affirmed that serious negotiations between the United States and Iran are essential to achieve lasting peace, stressing that the Sultanate of Oman will support efforts to enhance sustainable regional security.

In a post on the X platform, the Minister noted that while the world has temporarily stepped back from confrontation, there is no room for complacency. “For now the world has stepped back from disaster. But there’s no room for complacency. Serious negotiations now required for lasting peace. Oman will support this work for the vital and urgent purpose of strong and enduring regional security,” he wrote.
