MUSCAT : His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Monday received H.E. Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, at Al Barakah Palace, where the two sides discussed recent developments in the region and their wider implications.
During the meeting, the Kuwaiti minister conveyed greetings from the leadership of Kuwait, while both sides reviewed the evolving regional situation, including the ongoing conflict and its repercussions on neighbouring countries and the global economy.
His Majesty the Sultan reiterated Oman’s longstanding position of promoting dialogue, de-escalation and peaceful resolution of conflicts. His Majesty Sultan Haitham stressed the importance of intensifying international and regional efforts to reduce tensions and arrive at sustainable solutions that address the root causes of the crisis.
