MUSCAT – The Omani delegation was led by His Excellency Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority, while the Belarusian delegation was headed by His Excellency Maxim Ryzhenkov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral partnerships across multiple sectors, including industrial, agricultural, health, and tourism, while exploring ways to increase trade and facilitate investment flows to support mutual economic diversification efforts.
His Excellency Al Murshidi described the meeting as a reflection of strong bilateral relations and a platform for building long-term partnerships based on shared interests. He emphasized that Oman prioritizes strengthening international cooperation and attracting quality investments, with Belarus presenting promising opportunities in several sectors that can generate added economic value.
His Excellency Ryzhenkov highlighted Belarus’s industrial capabilities and Oman’s attractive investment environment and advanced infrastructure, noting that direct flights, simplified visa procedures, and enhanced diplomatic representation will help expand bilateral cooperation. He added that the results achieved to date set the stage for further collaboration.
Both sides affirmed their commitment to exchanging expertise and developing joint initiatives to support sustainable development and strengthen economic ties at regional and international levels.
The Omani-Belarusian Joint Committee for Cooperation and Investment, established in May 2025, aims to foster collaboration in the economy, trade, education, culture, and energy, with a focus on joint investment projects and knowledge exchange. The committee has already contributed to notable progress in industry, agriculture, and education between the two countries.
