Oman police warn drivers against risky wadi crossings; RO 500 fine, 3 months jail for violators

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has issued a stern warning against deliberately crossing wadis while they are flowing, stressing that such actions pose serious dangers to drivers, passengers, and others, and carry legal consequences.

MUSCAT : The ROP pointed out that under Article 49 of the Traffic Law, any driver who deliberately crosses valleys in a way that endangers life may face imprisonment for up to three months or a fine of up to RO 500. The ROP urged drivers to comply with safety regulations and serve as role models in public safety.
