MUSCAT – Radar images show active thunderstorm cells producing varying rainfall intensities over Al Dhahirah Governorate and parts of Al Batinah Central, with the system expected to extend into parts of Al Dakhiliyah and North Al Batinah in the coming hours.
Cloud cover is forecast to expand across most of the Sultanate, bringing scattered to occasionally thundery rain to Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, North and South Al Sharqiyah, Musandam, North and South Al Batinah, Muscat, Al Wusta, and Dhofar. Authorities warned that some areas may experience flash floods in wadis, along with hail and strong winds.
Low clouds and fog are also expected to form late at night and early morning over parts of South Ash Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, and Dhofar, which may reduce horizontal visibility.

Winds across Oman will be moderate southeasterly to southerly, occasionally becoming active during thunderstorms. Sea conditions along the Arabian Sea coast are expected to be moderately rough, with waves reaching up to two meters, while the rest of the coastline will see calm to moderate seas. During thunderstorms, wave heights may rise to as much as three meters.
